Arjun Infrastructure Partners continues European expansion with Paris office growth

  • Two Arjun partners have relocated to Paris to strengthen Arjun’s presence in the EU

  • The firm recently received licensing as an EU alternative investment fund manager by French financial services regulator

  • Arjun has expanded significantly in 2024, with key appointments across Europe and North America

Arjun Infrastructure Partners ("Arjun"), the independent European infrastructure fund manager, has received licensing as an EU alternative investment fund manager by the French financial services regulator, the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (“AMF”), for its French Subsidiary.

This marks a key milestone in the firm’s growth strategy and concludes a two-year expansion process into mainland Europe. The on-the-ground presence in Paris and licensing approval will provide enhanced EU investor coverage and further strengthens the firm’s client-servicing, fundraising, investment and asset management capabilities in Europe.

Two partners have relocated from London to the Paris office over the past year to accompany this growth – François Bornens and Thomas Laverty – along with an investment professional Roxane Parfond. David Schad has also recently been hired into the investor relations team to cover the DACH region and further local hires are planned.

This expansion builds on several key senior appointments this year in Europe and North America, and follows the closing in June of Arjun’s largest fund to date, which raised €1.4bn.

Arjun made two investments in France last year, acquiring stakes in fibre company Altitude Infra and solar developer Amarenco, adding to a portfolio which demonstrates a robust pan-European presence with investments spanning Denmark, Spain, Italy, Germany, the Republic of Ireland, the United Kingdom, and France.

Surinder Toor, Founder and Managing Partner at Arjun, commented: “The development of our Paris office is a key step in Arjun’s strategy to solidify our position as a leading European mid-market infrastructure manager. With two offices in London and Paris, Arjun will enhance its ability to source and execute transactions across the EU, and broaden our coverage of a wider investor base on the continent. We are very excited to continue developing our franchise in Europe from this new, strengthened presence in France.”
