Arjun Infrastructure Partners ("Arjun"), the independent European infrastructure fund manager, announces the final close of its Infrastructure Alliance Europe 2 (IAE-2) fund. The fund received total commitments of €1.1 billion, with an additional €300 million allocated to its co-investment program.
Arjun received commitments from its existing, long-term institutional investor base in Europe. Additionally, the firm has achieved a significant breakthrough in North America, with substantial investor interest in both fund and co-investment opportunities.
Launched in 2022 as a successor to the €1 billion Infrastructure Alliance Europe 1 (IAE-1) fund, IAE-2 adopts a mid-market investment strategy focusing on long-term asset management of core and core-plus infrastructure assets across Europe. The fund spans Arjun’s sector specialisms, which include renewables, digital, transport, and utilities, and aims to deliver inflation-protected returns over the long-term through control and co-control positions. The fund is classified as Article 8 under SFDR, ensuring that its investment strategy aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and supports efforts toward achieving Net Zero by 2050.
IAE-2 has already invested a significant proportion of its commitments in a portfolio of assets through a series of bilateral transactions sourced by leveraging the operational expertise and sector-specialist networks of Arjun’s experienced team.
Surinder Toor, Managing Partner at Arjun Infrastructure Partners, commented: “We are delighted to share the news of the final close of our IAE-2 fund. This is an important milestone for Arjun and stands as a testament to our focus on long-term investments in European mid-market real infrastructure. We have an exceptionally talented team with significant operational experience in the sectors we invest in and, with a number of recent team additions, we look forward to continuing to build long-term partnerships with our investors and portfolio company management teams to deliver the sustainable, inflation-protected returns that infrastructure offers.”
